In the IT Operations department of Beiersdorf we are responsible for delivering IT infrastructure services on a global scale to the entire Beiersdorf Group, which comprises more than 20,000 employees worldwide. Our primary focus is to ensure uninterrupted IT operations through efficient automation. Within the department, our SAP Basis Team manages the SAP Systems for our global business, working closely together with the Infrastructure- and Application Teams.

Your Tasks

In this role, you will strengthen our professional SAP Technology team, which ensures a reliable and secure operation of SAP system landscapes (ERP, S/4HANA, BI, PO, Fiori, etc.) throughout the Group of Beiersdorf and provides technological support for innovative SAP digitalization projects.

As a new team member, you will be responsible for a sub-area of our on-premise SAP system landscapes in a Service Owner role and will essentially be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Ensuring stable, secure and high-performance system operation
  • Discrete analysis of occurring problems and troubleshooting
  • Take-over of 2nd level support within the framework of SAP Basis support
  • Implementation of change requests and system optimization measures
  • Execution of SAP Basis activities, such as creation and provisioning of SAP systems
  • Installation, upgrades of SAP components and databases (HANA, IBM-DB2)
  • Collaboration and sub-project management in SAP innovation, rollout or upgrade projects
  • Provision and life cycle maintenance of the SAP front end (SAP GUI, Business Explorer)
  • Further development of SAP Basis specific solutions with a focus on automation
  • Contact person for questions and issues related to SAP Basis technology issues

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed studies in information technology, business informatics (or similar) or comparable IT-specific training with relevant professional experience in the SAP Basis environment
  • Expert knowledge in the support of SAP systems and SAP databases as well as experience in the SAP system operation in Azure
  • Profound know-how in SAP Basis topics such as
  • SAP NetWeaver technology and architecture
  • SAP ERP, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, BW/BI/BO, Fiori, PO, SCM
  • Upgrades, conversions, homogeneous system copies, heterogeneous migrations
  • Solution Manager
  • SAP Security
  • Profound knowledge of the database systems SAP HANA and IBM DB2-LUW, ideally SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA
  • Safe handling of the operating systems Windows Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server
  • High service orientation with a strong sense of quality and responsibility
  • Analytical-conceptual way of thinking, independent and solution-oriented approach
  • Team player with a structured and pro-active approach to work
  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to constantly familiarize yourself with new topics
  • Strong communicator with excellent written and spoken English skills
