In your role as a “Global Manager Fill & Pack Technology”, you will partner with Production centers, packaging development, category BPSC & other SC Technology functions to primarily drive execution of innovation projects.

 

You will be directly responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers working towards landing the innovation projects to the BDF manufacturing network and focus on building people capabilities from a filling & packaging process engineering perspective within BDF Engineering group. You’ll be also central towards ensuring “One Voice” of Global Filling & Packaging Technology group for rest of internal & external partner functions. 

 

Your Tasks

Leadership

  • Managing a team mechanical engineers based in HQ & regions representing F&P Technology in IIM teams.
  • Develop capabilities within own team and the Fill&Pack technology community. 
  • Develop and leverage global & regional synergies through pragmatic resourcing models.
  • Talent acquisition, training & career management for the Fill&Pack technology community.


Technology Transfer within Innovation projects

  • Lead the F&P Technology resource management for seamless execution of IIM projects.
  • Actively manage escalations on Fill&Pack technology topics ensuring appropriate closures.
  • Partner with PCs und 3 PMs to support vertical ramp up of new innovations & post launch support.
  • Early engagement with Packaging Development to ensure necessary alignments.
  • Partner with Processing & SCTLs ensuring necessary collaboration to seamlessly land IIMs.


Way of working, Process development & Governance

  • Develop/improve ways of working with regards to early management in technology transfer process
  • Team-up with CI and operations to leverage ManEx tools within IIM / technology transfer.
  • Ensure aligned ways of working across technology & engineering community.    
  • Manage project portfolio in alignment with partner functions (IIM CTL, SCPL, Processing) and peers.
  • Lead and develop the global Fill&Pack technology engineering community including roles in PCs.

Your Profile

  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end innovation process from pre-development to serial production. 
  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, packaging technologies or comparable, a degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
  • Strong background with hands on experience on industrialization of filling and packaging technologies for skin & personal care products.  
  • Leadership experience of leading a global team
  • Proven track record of stakeholder management & functional leadership
  • Strong ability to navigate in ambiguous environment driving cross functional concurrence.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, fluent English skills required, other languages are a plus.
