Your Tasks

As head of a small team you drive the idea of a tax function of the future – people, digitalization, data are key to drive tax processes and data in the future. You are responsible for the global tax compliance management and risk management system. You will manage all tax issues including tax audits and projects of the German tax group and German affiliates. You act as key contact for various stakeholder on different levels within the Finance function and the Business segments.

                                           

The following will be your tasks:

  • Strategy - Drive and participate in the development of the overall tax and customs strategy. Develop and implement the strategy for your area of responsibility and beyond. 
  • Digitalization, Organization and Processes - Manage the continuous improvement of the effective and efficient organization of Corporate Taxation and Customs. Ensure processes are managed in a lean and efficient way.
  • Global Tax Compliance and Risk Management - Steer, adopt and monitor the global Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS). Initiate, amend and provide global policies, and standards for tax processes (excl. Transfer Pricing). Monitor the implementation by the affiliates. Serve as Tax Compliance Officer. 
  • Audit, Tax audit & Tax Consulting in daily business for Region Germany & domestic projects - Manage tax part of domestic projects. Steer filing of all relevant tax returns for Beiersdorf AG and German subsidiaries excl. transfer pricing. Monitor and coordinate all tax audit topics and implement results of tax audit. Negotiate with tax authorities and develop audit strategy in own area of responsibility. Manage yearend proceedings with external audit firm, ensure IFRIC 23 documentation and process. 
  • Tax accounting, Reporting and Tax KPIs - Take care of tax accounting for German affiliates. Manage tax part or GRI 207-reporting within the sustainability reporting for BDF Group. Monitor and further develop ETR controlling and reporting. 
  • CoE for VAT on European Level and Wage Tax in Germany - Serve as center of excellence in these specific areas.
  • Leadership - Guide, motivate and develop a small team. Support technical training and drive development in area of business and value partnering. 

Your Profile

  • Master in Business Administration with specialization in Tax or similar Degree
  • German Tax Advisor Exam (Steuerberater*in)
  • Long years’ experience in Taxes and Tax Accounting 
  • Strong tax technical and analytical skills
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Entrepreneurial business mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in advising senior management
  • Fluent German & English
