Your Tasks

For Beiersdorf Digitalization is a cross functional priority. SUPPLY PLANNING is one of the relevant focus areas to support the defined business targets in the CARE+ Strategy. It is a critical capability for the translation of consumer demands into the reliable and efficient deliveries.  
Supply Planning includes Distribution Planning, Production Planning, Materials, and Inventory Planning. The Supply Plan must ensure high service levels while balancing operational efficiency and low inventory levels. 

As Project Manager Supply Planning, you will support the transformation of SC Planning into Digital SC Planning. You will support the global rollout of a new SC Planning suite along with process and concept improvements. You will design and implement planning concepts and template solutions in the fields of production planning, detailed scheduling, MRP, DRP and Inventory Optimization for operational planners around the globe. You have a passion for advanced mathematical solutions e.g. mathematical optimization or statistics, and you love to explore the development of advanced planning solutions such as MEIO, Solver based PP/DS (e.g. MLCLSP) or Master Data improvement using AI/ML. You enjoy working with local planners, IT consultants and colleagues of other departments and functions. You have a passion for digitalization, IT and you like to explore and implement progressive planning concepts and methods. You find ways to convince others and achieve your results also when facing resistance. You love to train operational planners in classroom trainings or via e-learnings. As continuous process improver you optimize the performance indicators of supply planning sustainably. 


Main tasks:

  • Develop and improve planning processes and approaches in the fields of Supply Planning
  • Develop / improve planning solutions in the planning software suit as vehicle for advance planning processes - together with the IT department
  • Work in projects as project member / leader and deliver according your milestones based on the project plans
  • Lead / support the implementation of planning use cases in different Supply Planning areas with focus on digitalization and digital transformation
  • Work together with relevant stakeholders on different organizational levels and from different cultures and understand their views and requirements
  • Be able to solve also complex planning problems by utilizing your mathematical knowledge especially in the field of statistics or mathematical optimization
  • Host and conduct online or classroom trainings as trainer for planners around the globe in the field of Supply Planning
  • Design, pilot and deploy reports or KPIs based on local/regional/global

Your Profile

  • University degree (minimum M.Sc. or similar) with good planning understanding
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Passion for math, especially deeper understanding of statistics (AI/ML) and mathematical optimization to explore the usage of advanced features in digital planning  
  • Profound project management skills in an intercultural working environment and willingness to travel globally and/or work abroad
  • Conceptual and process improver skills
  • Good knowledge of SAP ECC and MS Office, 
  • Knowledge of OMP (I/O, OPR, S&OP) is an advantage
  • Result-oriented combined with assertiveness & persuasiveness 
  • As team player able to work with teams of people with disparate opinions, agendas, and cultures
  • Fluent English communication skills spoken and written
